Unwavering Faith

So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall feel down flat, so that the people went up unto the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. Joshua 6:20

Seems silly, doesn't it? A well-trained Army just walking around the wall.

The story of the fall of Jericho is anything but silly. It's a testament to having unwavering faith.

God gave Joshua the entirety of His game plan. However, according to chapter 6, Joshua provided only the part necessary for that day. His men followed orders and marched around the wall for six days. Six days they marched without knowing the end plan or what the purpose was for the marching. They had unwavering faith in their leader and their God. While they didn't know the whole, they trusted that God was leading Joshua and would provide, just as he always had. Their faith was rewarded on the seventh day when, with a loud roar, the walls fell flat.

What's your takeaway from this? What area in your life do you need to have the unwavering faith in those God has placed in authority over you and even God necessary to bring the walls down and claim victory in your life?

If not, today is the day to claim it.
